About D. Lynn Justis
Lynn Justis career in photography took off right from the start. Before Lynn began to serve various businesses and industries as a professional photographer, he mastered the changeling discipline of aerial photography here in the United States and overseas while serving in the United States Army. After honing his aerial photography skills, shooting from every kind of aircraft imaginable, he became and independent photographer, specializing in motor sports for newspapers, magazines and racing organizations. In the 1960s, Lynn was named Director of Photography for the United States Auto Club, where he designed USAC's first photo lab. He covered four divisions of racing, including midgets, sprint cars, stock cars and Indy cars. His work was a staple of all media and frequently featured aerial imagery. Lynn's work captured the attention of NASCAR, which named him Director of Photography. He was responsible for the biggest events Daytona International Speedway all of NASCAR speedweeks across America. Some of his work was created from vantage points on the ground and other work was created from the air. Following his NASCAR assignment, Lynn became Chief Photographer for Fred Marik and Associates, a respected advertising agency in the South. His studio, location and aerial photography were instrumental in the agency winning hundreds of awards for creative and effectiveness.
Lynn later established Justis Photographic, which has amasses a formidable portfolio over thirty years of serving business and industry exclusively. Today Justis Photographic limits it's work to aerial photography and has become one of the most reliable and respected aerial photographic services in the business. Lynn shoots or supervises every assignment personally, from planning to processing and delivery to the client.
